A recent Legionella survey of one of our customers turns up some alarming results
Following testing and inspection of tanks to ensure that the water quality and safeguard from Legionella has turned up a positive Legionella trace.
Due to lack of use and not being properly insulated the water sample has come back positive.
Coldwater storage should be kept at a temperature of 20 degrees or less and above 60 degrees in hot water.
The tanks were drained down, cleaned and sterilised to 50ppm of chlorine solution and flushed through existing pipework.
Re-sampling of water was completed and has come back clear of legionella.
InDepth were able to give the client peace of mind that their water quality was up to standard.
